About AIJC

The Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication (AIJC) was organized in 1980 as a graduate school of journalism and has evolved and grown since then. Aside from its offering of the Master in Communication Management (MCM) and Master in Journalism (MJ) programs, the Institute also provides professional training. Training courses cover specialized areas in journalism, communication, and knowledge management.

AIJC's Research and Development and Consultancy undertakes policy and action research, and planning, development and management of communication programs and projects.  These services have been provided to government units, non-government organizations and international development agencies.

The ICT for Development (ICT4D) Unit of AIJC promotes the strategic use of ICT in various human development endeavors. Program areas include content development, capability-building, and research focused on the impact of ICT on the socio-cultural, economic and political dimensions of society.
