Rules and Policies

Written policies are prepared to guide the AIJC users and researchers from outside entities on the proper use of the facilities.

For Project Staff and Administrative Staff


  • Faculty and students are allowed to take out two books at a time from the General Collection to be returned a week later

  • Only one book from the Reserve Collection can be taken out. It has to be returned three days after.

  • Magazines, journals, newspapers, reference books (marked R-Fil/Ref) and other fugitive materials are for room use only.

For Faculty and Students

  • Faculty and students are allowed to take out two books at a time from the General Collection to be returned a week later.

  • Only one book from the Reserve Collection can be taken out. It has to be returned three days after.

  • Magazines, journals, newspapers, reference books (marked R-Fil/Ref) and other fugitive materials are for room use only.

  • The penalties for the late return of all information materials are as follows:

    • General Collection --------------------------- P50.00/day
    • Reserve Collection --------------------------- P150.00/day

  • Books and other materials not returned after two months are considered lost and must be paid for by the borrower concerned.

Before an outside researcher can make use of the AIJC Library facilities, he/she must be oriented on the following rules and regulations:

  • Library hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 5:00 p.m.

  • Outside researchers are not allowed on Saturdays.

  • A student should present a letter of request from his/her chief librarian or professor stating the purpose of research. Only graduate students and those in the college level will be given priority.

  • Only three (3) students from the same institution will be allowed in the library on the same day and by appointment.

  • A fee of fifty pesos (P50.00) per day from each student will be charged for each use of the facilities.
